To further support our customers, the designer of the 8’ x 10’ Wide DIY Greenhouse Kit—a Master Gardener with over 10 years of experience in year-round hoophouse cultivation—has included a comprehensive manual on successful year-round growing within a Roberts Ranch Hoophouse.
With over a decade of experience in designing and constructing both Quonset and Gothic style hoophouses, Roberts Ranch Hoophouses has a deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by growers. Our background includes operating a CSA farm, supplying local restaurants, and participating in multiple Farmers Markets each week. This hands-on experience has shaped our commitment to delivering a quality, cost-effective hoophouse solution.
The Gothic Style Hoophouse is not only visually appealing but also engineered to endure the demanding conditions of snow loads and high winds. Constructed from commercial-grade materials and wrapped in 6 mil UV-protected greenhouse plastic, this hoophouse ensures effective winter growing without additional heat or light.
The kit includes all components in a single box weighing 200 lbs., with the exception of the storm door. Storm doors can be purchased at the local hardware store, according to the customer’s preference. Additionally, the kit is equipped with three earth anchors to securely fasten the hoophouse to the ground, providing stability in high winds.
