DIY Hoophouses
In an area of the country where farming and growing produce is a necessity, DIY hoophouses are increasing in popularity. They provide a cost-effective, simplistic construction to other traditional greenhouse designs. Hoophouses allow growers to extend the seasons and protect crops from animals, pests, or further damage related to harsh environments. We specialize in providing our customers with Gothic and Quonset-style hoophouse kits that can be assembled with minimal previous building experience. More detail about each is provided below:​​
Gothic hoophouses- These structures have a peaked roof designed to allow snow to shed easily and quickly from the roof. For areas that receive a lot of snow, they are a must. Gothic structures are a little taller than Quonset structures. For those who like to grow up on trellises, the Gothic will give you more space for that. The straight sides allow you to grow right up next to the sides and they also offer great views of your crops inside. Our hoophouse are engineered to withstand 70 mph winds. For extremely windy areas, we recommend earth anchors be installed along both sides.
Quonset hoophouses- A Quonset style greenhouse looks like a large barrel that got sliced in half. They are designed with affordability and strength in mind. They have arched metal frames that provide a great deal of strength. Of the two, it is the strongest shape and will withstand high winds better than the Gothic. They do carry snow loads up to 30psf, but we recommend freeing snow from the top of a quonset once it reaches 12”.

It's no secret that winter in Utah, Idaho, or Colorado presents residents with extreme weather. It can become a real challenge to continue sports activities. Sports bubbles allow one to enjoy year-round athletics without worrying about frigid temperatures or snow-covered fields. Having a sports court cover has other advantages, too. You'll have ample space for training sessions while ensuring players' safety which could happen with outdoor areas in winter. They also double as great event spaces. Winter, Spring, Summer, or fall. They make great gathering space.
